Hi. I’m John Kester with All Seasons Retractable Screens.
And today we’re going to be going over some of the general maintenance questions that you might have with your retractable screen doors.
One of the more common problems that we run into is that people will tell us that their screen doors are not retracting. Typically what that is, is there’s a lot of dirt and debris in the tracks. And, what we would like for you guys to do at that point is go ahead and take a stiff brush… go ahead and brush out pretty vigorously all that bottom track there — help to get all that dirt, debris, leaves…whatever might be down there…help get all that out.
Then we like to go ahead and spray Pledge in those bottom tracks after that to help keep the dirt and debris out at that point as well. That also helps to allow the product to run smoothly along that bottom track there and helps our product to work the way it should.
When you go ahead and close the door, make sure you go ahead and squeeze those two lock kits together like this. Bring it past the middle. Let it go. And then to close it, I always tell people to go ahead and squeeze the lock kits as well. Let it go all the way back in the casing like that as well.
In our next video, we’re going to be talking about some more common questions that you have.
Thanks a lot. I’m John Kester. Bye bye.
